OUR MISSION
To promote responsible firearm ownership, safety, and shooting fun through a family-oriented environment with certified instructors and range safety officers.
OUR COMMITMENT
Frontier Family Shooting Center offers one of the best retail and shooting range experiences in the Greater Knoxville (Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Kingston, Lenoir City). We are a local, employee-owned business committed to our community and East Tennessee. We offer a bright, safe, clean, and friendly indoor target shooting and training environment. New, families, and experienced shooters are always welcome and find our staff second to none. Certified firearms instructors are ready to assist you in having a safe, fun shooting experience.
Frontier is not a gun club, and there are no membership requirements. We are open to and serve the public. Our range is modern, safe, and fun to use. We offer firearm education classes, including the Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit or Concealed Carry Class, taught by State—and NRA-certified instructors. We aim to help you enjoy firearms ownership in a relaxed but safe atmosphere.
We take pride in the cleanliness, care, and overall operation of our range so that you can have a safe, fun, and memorable experience.
We offer frequent shooters the economic benefits of range packages and access passes.
Range 2
LANES
Our range is divided into two bays to facilitate different uses simultaneously. Each bay has concrete walls and pre-engineered concrete panels covering the range completely. These panels make each bay "tactical" and permit down-range shooting under controlled circumstances. This capability significantly expands the type of training and instruction that can take place in the law enforcement and civilian training range. It will also facilitate league and other competitive activities that are impossible in a fixed firing line range.
Each of our two 25-yard ranges features ATS - the Active Target Shooting System with state-of-the-art features:
-
Five computer-controlled firing lanes
-
User-friendly computer controls
-
360º rotating targets
-
User-programmable target movement
-
Pre-programmed shooting scenarios
-
Bright LED lights that run with the targets
-
Solid monorail tracks - no bouncing cables
-
Sound damping technology
-
Lanes built for shooters who used wheelchairs
-
Fresh air intake/purge system
-
Granulated rubber backstop catches bullets intact - no bullet bounce back or flying shrapnel.
SAFETY
-
Our non-recirculating air intake and purge systems supply a constant, steady flow of clean, fresh air that is never contaminated by dangerous lead dust and heavy metals.
-
Unlike ranges using metal plate backstops, our granulated rubber bullet traps catch bullets whole, so they can't bounce back to hurt you, as happens in obsolete ranges and ranges under 75 feet.
-
Range Safety Officers are on staff at all times.
